Jake discovered rock climbing in 2014 while attending Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. After graduating with an Adventure Guide Diploma, he moved to Whistler where he worked as a Ski Coach in the winter and a Top Rope Climbing Instructor in the summer. Jake has a guiding style that can be described as patient, supportive, fun and safe. He is passionate about giving clients the best experience possible whether its top rope climbing, a rescue course or a multi pitch climb. Jake has climbed all over Western Canada, the United States and Patagonia. Some of his favourite spots include Smith Rock OR, Red Rock NV and Frey, Argentina. Jake lives in Squamish and when he isn’t on the rock you can find him ski touring or mountain biking.
