Tony Mclane

ACMG Rock Guide

Tony Mclane has been tirelessly obsessed with climbing rocks for his entire adult life. Born and raised in Squamish, Tony began climbing in his youth and began guiding in 2011.

Tony’s easy going attitude and humble demeanor belies the fact that he is one of the greatest  rock and alpine climbers that Canada has ever produced. Mind blowing accomplishments such as one day solo’s of The Nose and Salathe Wall, the first one day ascent of the 1300 meter El Corazon route on Cerro Fitzroy, and the first solo ascent of the North Face of Mount Geike are world class accomplishments. Because he is modest, Tony won’t be telling you about any of these great feats but he will be  genuinely enthusiastic and happy as he effortlessly guides you up the Chief or teaches you the skills to take your climbing to the next level.
