Evan Beatty

ACMG Rock Guide

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Evan was introduced to climbing in 2017.  Within a month of his introduction, and noticing the lack of climbable sandstone in his home province, he developed an obsession and decided to venture westwards to find rock to learn on.  Three years later, Evan moved to Squamish and the rest was history.  He is now guiding and is passionate about development and maintaining the outdoor climbing spaces that we know and love.

Evan has recently started contributing First Ascents to the Sea to Sky Corridor, with many new routes, including “The Beef – 5.12c”, and the addition of “Good Samaritan – 5.10d” as a variation to start up the classic Squamish Buttress.  Graduating with a diploma in Hospitality, Evan has great people skills and an understanding of professional service that pairs greatly with guiding.

His older Border-Collie Piper is always at his side, napping at the crag, waiting patiently for his session to be done, and wondering about the next climbing trip that she can join on.
