Eric Sanderson
ACMG Apprentice Rock Guide
Eric began climbing at the start of high school and has been passionate about mountain sports ever since. He has traveled extensively throughout North America to iconic climbing destinations such as the Red River Gorge, New River Gorge, El Potrero Chico, Hueco Tanks, Joshua Tree, Smith Rock, and Squamish.
Eric especially enjoys challenging multipitch trad routes and is always planning new objectives that push his limits and take him out of his comfort zone.
He spent five years working as a guide in Ontario, where he taught top roping (on both rock and ice), rigged ziplines and rappels, led caving adventures year-round, and occasionally assisted with stunts for movies and commercials. In May 2021, Eric moved west to pursue guiding full-time, with a goal of spending as much time in the mountains as possible while helping others learn how to stay safe in them.
