Anne Lawther
AMGA Apprentice Rock Guide
Originally from Nova Scotia, Anne has travelled extensively all over the world to climb, including Patagonia, Thailand, France, Spain, and Cuba, but Squamish remains her favorite.
Anne has been teaching climbing for almost 10 years. In her courses she creates an environment where people feel at ease to ask questions and make mistakes. She understands that people learn in different ways and prides herself on being able to help others truly grasp the intricacies of climbing so they can achieve all their climbing goals.
Anne has climbed things she is really proud of but has always focused more on how joyful climbing feels. She balances challenging herself with safety and her relationship with climbing partners.
Besides climbing, Anne also loves board games with friends, salsa dancing, backcountry skiing, music, cooking, and most recently kite surfing.
